My mentor Leston Welsh is an actuary. An actuary is a financial analyst that usually makes up to 50 - 100 thousand a year. He enjoys what he does & he has been doing it for 3 years. A typical day at work for him involves , gathering info at different markets, presenting results and doing analysis, and two meetings a day.
Leston contains a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Baruch College. He got his by researching companies on the net & then applying for them over the net. In order for Leston to gain his positon as an actuary , he needed at least his bachelor's in math( which he has ), acturial science ,or some related field. Leston explains that '' a person may begin working in the field after obtaining their bachelors''. However they also need to complete a series of eight exams in order to be certified.
Leston likes his jodb & his co workers , & he hopes to remain in the field. The only main challenge that he faced was on the job was getting through the series of exams. Last but not least he also enjoy's ,hanging out , going out to the movies , shopping , going out to eat , & traveling , sort of like myself.
